just WHO AM I ?
When you were a little girl, what did you want to be? Was it a princess, a teacher, a mommy, a nurse, a ballerina, a banker, an astronaut?
Do you see that these descriptors define us by what we do, not who we are?
Are you a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, career woman, stay-at-home mom? These are the roles we fulfill, but these words still don’t disclose what is in our hearts, our souls.
When we are born again in Christ, whether as infants or adults, we die to our old ways, and become filled up with Christ. The words the world uses to give valueor meaning to our lives are negated and we begin to live by faith. As this year’s scripture says, the life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. You are loved, indeed!
Cherished, cleansed, strengthened, redeemed, worthy… It is no longer important that you are cloaked in words that impress others or meet earthly approval. You are a child of the King!
Come, join this weekend. Rest, relax, and reflect on who am I?, and find yourself in Christ.
