Christmas in Community- 2011 Review

Christmas in the Community is a way St. John’s shares God’s love in practical ways.  For the fourth year now, participants lead “random acts of kindness” throughout the West Bnd area.  Motivated by the message of Jesus, 120 people of all ages took to the streets and stores with smiles on thier faces and the words “Merry Christmas” on their lips.  Some acts of kindness included:

  • Wrapping gifts at Pet Co & Home Depot
  • Caroling at St. Vincent DePaul & Cedar Community care facility
  • Washing windshields and filling wiper fluid at gas stations
  • Caroling up & down Main St.
  • Singing and praying for our service men and women at the local fire station (25 preschoolers and parents)
