More About Me

I joined the staff at St. John's in July, 2012. I am a graduate of Concordia University Wisconsin; I graduated in December of 2011 with my Bachelor of Arts in Parish Music (piano and organ emphasis) and Theology. I am currently working on my Masters in Choral Conducting at Concordia. I am originally from Texas; born and raised in that wonderful and terribly HOT state! I am enjoying the cooler weather in Wisconsin, but have yet to really get used to all of the snow! I come from a large family: it's me, my parents, 8 younger siblings, a new baby nephew, and way too many pets. It's always a fun time at home, and never a dull moment! Working at St. John's allows me to follow the passions God has placed in my heart. I play the piano and organ, and direct our two choirs. I love connecting with people and helping them to make a personal connection to their roles in ministry through song. Bach said, "The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul." I love helping and encouraging people to serve and praise God through music, and love it even more when they enjoy what they are doing! So, come and talk to me about how you can get connected with the music (any music!) at St. John's!
