Before the Feast...
The season of Advent draws focus to our Lord's return and life's preparations for those who long for his coming. What will life be like when He returns? Our Lord uses the imagery of a grand, plentiful, beyond one's imagination "Feast" to describe eternal life with the Father and him. Our most spectacular, memorable holiday meals only begin to open our mind to that which our God is preparing for his people. Jesus uses similarly vivid imagery to describe the destiny of those who will not be with him and his Father.
Our series title, “Before the Feast” draws focus to those things that will happen before our eternal celebration with God. Each week we will see the Son of God, portrayed as the bridegroom, Master, and the King, pronounce and execute his judgments. Some receive blessings and others receive curses dependent upon their choices.
