STEPHEN MINISTRY
Stephen Ministry is a nation-wide care ministry that has been in place at St. John’s West Bend for over twenty years with an emphasis on person-to-person care for those in need. Stephen Ministers are paired with care receivers after receiving fifty hours of training. A Stephen Minister spends anywhere from two months to two years meeting weekly with their care receiver. At St. John’s, Stephen Ministry is overseen by our Care Pastor, David Nieman.
WHO RECEIVES CARE?
Stephen Ministers help people who are dealing with difficult situations, such as losing a job, saying goodbye to a loved one, dealing with an unexpected health diagnosis, or being anxious about other life changes. If you feel as though you could benefit from Stephen Ministry and would like to make a request for a caregiver, please call the church office to make a request for a Stephen Minister.
